When you log in to TestRail, you will see the Getting Started landing page as your starting point. This page gives you quick access to the essential resources and tools to get you started with everything you need to set up your TestRail instance. Whether your instance is brand new, or if you already created projects, the Getting Started page helps you find the right path forward for what you need.
From here, you can connect TestRail to other tools, access onboarding options, integrations, reports, projects, test cases, and more...all in one place. This way, you can access your workflows and become more productive right away.
Who can see it and what can you find on it?
All users in TestRail Cloud instances can see the Getting Started landing page upon logging in. So, no matter if you are just in a trial period (Click here for your Free Trial) or if you have purchased the license, this page will still be your point of reference.
The Getting started page specifically includes direct access to:
- Integrations: Connect and configure TestRail with tools like Jira, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Confluence, Playwright, Postman, and more.
- See TestRail in Action: Watch a demo or attend a live session to learn about TestRail best practices.
- Start Your Onboarding Journey: Access the TestRail Academy for guided lessons or browse the documentation for further information.
- Explore Sample Project: Get immediate access to ready-made projects that show you how TestRail works with no additional setup.
- Test Automation via CLI or API: Set up integrations between TestRail and your automation framework for connected tests all in one place.
- Generate Test Cases with AI: Use AI-powered assistance to turn requirements into ready-to-use test cases in seconds.

Onboard with ease
The Getting Started page is designed to help you become more productive in TestRail. To make it an easy-to-navigate page, we also added accesses on the left sidebar, some that are already featured in the center of the page, but also other ones like:
- Quick access to your Dashboard.
- Read how to guides.
- Help/Contact support access.
If you prefer, you can also hide the page by clicking Don’t show this page again at the bottom of the screen.
Once dismissed, the Getting Started page will not appear automatically again and will not appear in the sidebar anymore. To have it available again, go to the Help button on the upper right corner of your instance and click Show Getting Started page.
Where to start is entirely up to you, since you can find all the tools you need on this page in a very straightforward fashion.
